Replicating Applied Learning Instruction Everywhere

RALIE

About RALIE

For years, the One8 Foundation has supported best-in-class Applied Learning programs across Massachusetts. As Democratic Knowledge Project, Investigating History, OpenSciEd, PBLWorks, Project Lead The Way, and ST Math have provided engaging and enriching opportunities for students, leaders have expressed interest in expanding Applied Learning in other core and elective offerings not yet served by One8-supported programs.

To that goal, we have worked with school teams across the state to leverage their strong Applied Learning programs to bring coherent, interdisciplinary Applied Learning experiences to their students. Through the Applied Learning Leadership Institute (ALLI), school teams have created and rolled out Applied Learning instructional strategies across core subject areas.

The One8 Foundation has launched Replicating Applied Learning Instruction Everywhere (RALIE) to replicate these high-impact instructional practices through a cohorted experience for school leadership teams. In RALIE, participants will be introduced to these strategies, see them in action, and receive support to create implementation plans for their schools.

Additional information:

Teams from public schools serving students in grades 5-12 that have active Democratic Knowledge Project, Investigating History, OpenSciEd, PBLWorks, Project Lead The Way, and/or ST Math programs are eligible to apply.

As part of the cohort, schools will be eligible for $2,000 to offset costs related to program implementation and travel to in-person sessions.

Current RALIE cohort options include:
