Peer Learning Visit FAQs

  • Do I have to be a teacher?

Peer Learning Visits are designed for teachers.  Beginning in Winter 2026, leaders are welcome to join alongside their teachers to support teachers’ bringing learning back to their school & district context.

  • Do I have to be a current grant program teacher?

Yes.  To be eligible to join us for a Peer Learning Visit, teachers must have been through, at minimum, initial teacher training (OSE: Unit 1 Launch PL, PLTW: Core Training, DKP: 3-day Institute, IH: Unit 1 PL) and teaching at a school that has received One8 grant funding.  (If you are at a school past the initial 3-year grant window, you are absolutely welcome and count as “current grant program” teachers.) If you are at a school looking to apply for a grant, check out our recruiting open houses taking place later this fall here.

  • How long are the visits?

Visits are roughly 1-2 hours and designed to let you see a full class period, plus time for a short chat with teachers and/or leaders.

  • Do I have to visit a teacher of my grade level/course?

No, current grant school teachers who have been through initial teacher training in their program are welcome to request a visit to any teacher of their program.
